But what many people don't expect is that when they get there, they will go crazy with the amount of things that are not on the shopping list, and that they will want to take.
With that in mind, we at Tarobá Hotel made a list of what is worth buying in Paraguay, to help you if you get too excited! Hehe. Shall we check it out?
01 – Perfume
For those who, like me, love buying perfume, Paraguay is the right place! In addition to the prices being very good, there are perfumes from every brand you can imagine.
But be careful, you won't go out and buy perfume on the street, or in stores you don't know! It is recommended that you buy from trusted stores, such as Shopping Monalisa, Shopping China, Cellshop or Sax.
Another important tip to differentiate a counterfeit perfume from an original is to pay attention to the details on the bottle, as in the photo below.
02 – Makeup
My friend, the makeup freak! You have no idea what those makeup stands at Shopping Monalisa are! That makes you gasp. There is makeup from every brand for you to choose from. There's Lancôme, there's Clarins, there's Dior, there's Givenchy, there's Mac, and much more.
A tip about makeup: the other day we went to record a video for the Combo Iguassu agency channel and I was made up with Flormar products, which is a product that is very popular in Paraguay.
Flormar is a Turkish brand, and what I liked most about the makeup was the skin. The foundation and powder are excellent and the price is much lower than other top of the line makeup. See the photo below! Here's a tip!
03 – Cell phone
What makes it worth buying in Paraguay is a cell phone. For example, the Iphone 8, which here in Brazil costs around R$3.500,00*, in Paraguay you will find it for U$779,00*, which in real costs more or less R$2.600,00*. This price may vary depending on the store. But the price difference is more or less that, around R$900,00*.
Two very popular stores for purchasing cell phones in Paraguay are Mega Eletrônicos and CellShop. So, here’s a tip on what to buy in Paraguay.
04 – Pringles
Who do not love? The beloved Pringles potato. You can find this in abundance and you can buy this product anywhere, without fear. At least I buy it, and it never gave me any allergies and I still enjoyed it a lot.
A Pringles potato costs around US$2,25* (R$7,00*), while in Brazil it is almost double the price. So it's much more worthwhile to bring two or more cans of Pringles from Paraguay than to buy one in Brazil. So take advantage when you come shopping in Paraguay to take yours!
05 – IT
Notebook, Tablet, Ipad are great tips on what to buy in Paraguay. There you will find the best brands at very affordable prices. To buy quality and reliable IT products, we recommend Mega Eletrônicos, Cellshop and Nave Informática. Here's the tip once again Tarobá Hotel!
06 – Playstation 4
Another product that is worth buying in Paraguay is the Playstation 4. Here in Brazil it costs around R$1.500,00*, in Paraguay you will find it for more or less, depending on the exchange rate of the day, and the store, U $260,00*, that is, R$900,00*.
