As many already know, but we at Tarobá Hotel make a point of remembering, Foz do Iguaçu is known as the Land of Cataratas, precisely because it houses the waterfalls of Iguaçu – one of the Seven Wonders of Nature.

But what many don't know is that Foz do Iguaçu goes far beyond the Falls. Foz is a city that has countless natural landscapes and a Sunset sensational.

An example of this is the Buddhist Temple, with its incredible panoramic view of Foz and Ciudad del Este, Gramadão, with its stunning sunset, Avenida Paraná and its various species of trees that color the entire avenue in spring, among others.

Another attraction in the Land of Falls that draws the attention of countless tourists who visit the city is the Marco das Três Fronteiras.

Marco das Três Fronteiras is the perfect place to enjoy with family, friends, or boyfriend. There, it is a place for everyone to enjoy, both day and night. But let's learn a little more about the attraction that so many visitors fall in love with. Foz do Iguacu.

The Three Borders Landmark

The Marco das Três Fronteiras or Marco das Américas, as it is also known by residents of Foz and the region, is a place where you can observe the other two countries that border Foz do Iguaçu: the Paraguay and Argentina.

Marco das Américas was inaugurated on July 20, 1903 and recently reopened, on December 21, 2016. What was once beautiful has now become even more beautiful.

The Marco's new structure is inspired by the Jesuit Missions, which allow you to travel through time, learn more about the history of the region, and also get to know the other cultures that pass through there, in addition to celebrating the union between the three countries.

With the revitalization of Marco das Américas, new attractions were added to the site. Those who visit Marco during the day can enjoy the wonderful landscape of the Iguaçu River and take beautiful photos in daylight.

At night, excitement takes over, with the light show around the obelisk, and also throughout the architecture of the place.

The Marco is also a stage for the art, culture and history of the people and the region, with cultural performances from Tuesday to Sunday, at 19:30 pm and 20:30 pm.

On Mondays, the Marco das Américas remains open for visits, however, there are no artistic performances at the site.

Furthermore, Marco has a wonderful restaurant for when you get hungry: Cabeza de Vaca. The name was given in honor of a pioneer here on the border.

The restaurant has an extensive menu of dishes, portions, sandwiches, drinks and a stunning dessert. Worth knowing!

And, to the delight of the children, Marco das Américas has a huge playground, providing even more leisure and entertainment for the whole family.

And so as not to leave empty-handed and immortalize the incredible moment, Marco das Três Fronteiras has a souvenir shop inside the attraction. There you will find: hats, caps, photos, t-shirts, sculptures and various other products with the theme of Jesuit missions, landmarks and infinite beauties of Foz do Iguaçu.
