1- Pass the bridge by motorcycle taxi and have the greatest and most constant feeling of “I’m going to die at any moment” of your life
Okay, that was exaggeration on our part! HAHA HA. We are not saying that it is a dangerous means, no. We say this because our beloved motorcycle taxi drivers value our travel time when crossing the International Friendship Bridge and, therefore, pass through every empty space that we imagined would never be possible, but they magically manage to! Also, right… they cross the Bridge several times a day…. the guys can handle it, without a doubt. OUR HEROES OF TIME! <3
2- All the money you take, you will spend
This is as absolute as two plus two is four. If you take R$20, you will spend R$20. If you take R$250, you will spend R$250! It really doesn't matter the amount: you will spend it all. This is because, between one gallery and another, while stopping by a store, on a stroll in the mall, at street vendors, you will find things that you need in your life and didn't know about, such as, for example, an apple peeler and, obviously, he won't resist and will take it home. Who couldn't resist, right?
3- People will offer you socks ALL THE TIME
You know that apocalyptic feeling when you're in a zombie invasion and you're the only human being in town? It's the same on the streets of Paraguay. But in this case, the zombies are the sock sellers, you're still you and their desperation for your brain (money) is the same. They will convince you how much you need socks and how much of an unmissable opportunity it is to buy from them. And you're wrong if you think you'll encounter one or two of these along the way... they come in groups. Get ready, they are insistent, determined and not afraid to lower the price to simply make you buy. The truth is that it seems scary, but Paraguay wouldn't be fun if it weren't for them. <3
4- Pay attention to the guys with the pamphlets
They will be strategically on street corners gently asking “what are you looking for, ma’am?” ”. Yes, they are kind and want to help us… to go to the stores where they were hired! An example: once, I was looking for a clothing store and the guy wanted to take me to an electronics store. All he had to do was tell me that they sold virtual clothes there to convince me that I should follow him! Anyway, they are very intelligent, full of tactics and years of experience, so be careful, otherwise your shopping route will be changed. HAHAHAHA!
5- In Paraguay they sell everything. Of everything. Serious.
But when I say everything, I mean REALLY everything. Think of something. Ok. This sells in Paraguay. Now think about something else. Hmmm, you really thought about it, huh? Even though it's difficult, you will find this for sale in Paraguay! You just need to have time and patience to search and you will find everything… clothes, electronics, household utensils, shoes, cosmetics, stationery in general, decoration, food… everything. :,)
