Discover “secret” tours of Foz do Iguaçu and the region!

The travel itinerary for Foz do Iguaçu cannot miss important tourist attractions in the city such as the Iguaçu National Park, where the famous Iguaçu Falls are located, the Itaipu Binacional: the largest energy generator in the world, the Marco das 3 Borders where you can see the three countries being separated only by rivers. But if there's something that no one ends up discovering about the city of Foz do Iguaçu, it's that there are some “secret” tours that some tourists don't even know exist and half of them can be recommended for those who like more adventures and being in contact with nature. .

1 – Saltos del Monday – Presidente Franco

Our first recommendation is in one of our neighboring countries but it's still worth visiting! The place has all its charms and leaves the visitor very impressed, after all, most people only know the hustle and bustle of Ciudad Del Este. The falls cannot be compared with the magnificent Iguaçu Falls, but even so, there is a beauty in itself in its falls that leaves the visitor surprised.

2 – Wanda Mines – Argentina

It's a tour that will surprise you! Located 45 kilometers from the border with the city of Foz do Iguaçu, the mine hides precious treasures: such as emeralds, rubies, amethysts, with 52 varieties. The tunnels that store the precious stones that can be seen by visitors during the tour and there is also the possibility for visitors to follow the extraction up close, at the end of the tour there is also the possibility for visitors to purchase raw or worked samples taken from the mines there. It's a trip off the beaten track in the Triple Border but it's something worth visiting.

3- Aguaray Expedition

It's a tour within the National Park and it's a trail that involves sport and nature! It starts with a 1,4km walk, after walking it's time to go to the water, to stroll along the Iguaçu River for more or less 2km, which you can choose to do by kayak or SUP (Stand Up Paddle) and to close On the tour there is a waterfall bath. The tour lasts three hours and involves the visitor with all the fauna and flora that can be explored in the Iguaçu National Park.

4 – Ruins of San Ignacio

Despite being a little further from the border, visiting one of the oldest Jesuit works in the region is worth it! The tour delights the eyes, not only because you learn a little about our history but also because it is a beautiful place and because you can appreciate some characteristics of most of the Jesuit works, such as the church, the cemetery, and each of the priests. It is a construction that surprises with all its history and architecture.

5 – Iguassu Secret Falls

There are trails that total approximately 3km and that took visitors, throughout the day, to 11 waterfalls that are “hidden” in the city of Foz do Iguaçu. During the trail you can bathe in the waterfalls and enjoy everything that nature can give you and bathe in happiness. The tour lasts almost the entire day and the price includes lunch and transportation.
