Foz do Iguaçu is a Brazilian municipality located on the Triple Border (Brazil, Paraguay and Argentina). In its territory are the famous Iguaçu Falls.

Before that, in 1542, Álvar Nuñez Cabeza de Vaca was taken by the Caingangues Indians, across the river, to the falls and it was there that the Spaniard recorded his “discovery” on January 31st.
With 275 waterfalls, the highest is called “Devil's Throat” at 80 meters high, the Iguaçu Falls are one of the 7 (seven) natural wonders of the world and are home to several endangered species and several rarities.
