The day I flew in a helicopter over Iguaçu Falls with Helisul

I can say it was one of the best feelings I've ever felt. In this post, I will try to convey to you, the reader who follows the Tarobá Hotel, how it felt to fly over the Iguaçu Falls. I hope to succeed and motivate you to experience this unique experience too.

It was a wonderful day in Foz do Iguaçu, and I had already planned it well in advance. I was anxious, after all, it's not every day that we fly in a helicopter, much less over the largest set of falls in the world, so imagine the person's anxiety.

Well, arriving at Helisul Foz, it gives you a thrill to see those helicopters going up and down, that deafening noise that is good to hear, an incredible vibe, I even felt like a tourist, you know? Even though I live here, anyway. The emotion is delicious from beginning to end.

I got there, alone, I was very well received by the cashiers, very friendly by the way, I made the payment, which at the time I did in installments, as the value of the tour was costing around R$430,00* so I paid in 3 installments on the credit card, it was the maximum I could pay in installments, because until then I didn't know about the Combo Iguassu agency, which pays the ticket in up to 6 installments.

Once that was done, they issued my ticket with a password and gave me a pamphlet with instructions, with what must be done and what cannot be done during the flight. There it works on a first-come, first-served basis, Helisul does not take reservations, you have to arrive and wait.

I didn't have to wait long, because I went right after lunch and it was very calm, but after me people started arriving and more people started arriving and it started to get crowded.

While waiting for my turn (very anxiously), I watched how the flights were made and the excitement grew. Finally, after a long 20 minutes, the long-awaited time arrived. And let's see the Iguaçu Falls from a new angle.

The guys from Helisul called me by number and I went, happy as hell. They took me to the helipad – landing strip. At this time, all security work is carried out. There is a specialized team to assist passengers when boarding the helicopter.

They put the feel on you, check if everything is ok, like an amusement park, you know? Once everything is ok, they release the pilot to take off, and then it's just joy.

For those who have never flown in a helicopter, I can say that adrenaline and euphoria take over your body the moment the aircraft takes off. In a matter of seconds, it is possible to observe the immensity of the National Park, that wonderful green surrounded by lots of water from the Iguaçu River. That's awesome!

In a few minutes, we were on top of the Iguaçu Falls – one of the 7 Wonders of Nature – seen in an extraordinary way. From up there, I was able to see it all, the Devil's Ganganta, the Argentine side and all the grandeur of the Iguaçu River. Simply fabulous!

And after a few laps, it was time to return to the helipad. Once there, the guys help you disembark again. There is a digital photography team from an outsourced company that takes some wonderful photos too, which you can buy for R$10,00* if I'm not mistaken, I'm not sure how much I paid. All I can say is that it's all worth it.

Not to mention, Helisul offers a cafeteria with some great snacks and a huge souvenir shop. It's too much!

The helicopter ride with Helisul Foz lasts approximately 10 minutes, but it is well worth it, as the experience is fantastic. Here’s a tour tip for when you visit Foz do Iguaçu!
