Hand luggage is a small or not very large suitcase, bag or backpack that the passenger has the right to carry with them onto the plane, free of charge.

These bags can be stored in the luggage compartments, inside the plane, below the seat or above the seat in the overhead bin.

Hand luggage functionality:

You may be wondering what the main function of a carry-on bag is or what you can't carry in a carry-on bag, don't worry, we'll answer your questions now!

The carry-on suitcase is used to carry those essential objects that cannot be left far from you. So what can go in your hand luggage? Examples of this are documents, jewelry, money, cards, belts, glasses, cell phones, electronic devices, etc.

These are precisely those pieces of luggage that you cannot check separately.

Guidelines and standards allowed in hand luggage:

Size:

• 55 cm (height) x 35 cm (width) x 25 cm (depth) is the measurement accepted by most airlines!

Weight:

According to the definition of ANAC (National Civil Aviation Agency)

• 10 kg is the maximum baggage weight on regular and low-cost airlines, for both national and international flights.

• Note: if your luggage exceeds the established weight, for a fee charged it can be checked in as checked baggage, so it is important to fully comply with the standards charged for hand luggage!

Amount:

• 1 suitcase per person. Smaller bags, such as a cosmetic bag, inside the suitcase are allowed!

• Airlines also provide a backpack that fits inside the compartment below the seat.

• Note: even people with babies cannot take more than one hand luggage, if they really need to take that extra bag, they will have to buy a seat and a ticket for the baby or child!

Taking a vacation or traveling in your free time is great, isn't it? To make things even better, taking time to organize your bags, with everything that needs to be checked in and everything that needs to stay with you is essential!

Take everything you need to use during the flight, personal hygiene items, or health objects such as an asthma inhaler or medicine you need (check the rules for carrying specific medicines in advance).

Carry permitted foods, fruit or yogurt to satisfy hunger, cookies and chocolate for your children while they wait to land. Take a great book or listen to music while you wait for the time to pass.

Don't forget your documents and glasses to avoid that headache. Or other valuable objects that you like to have close by, especially if it is something comfortable for those who don't like flying or are traveling for the first time.

Pack your suitcase according to the airline's rules, leave everything ready, board and enjoy a good trip!
