When we talk about Shopping Malls in Foz do Iguaçu, we remember the JL Shopping Falls, as it was the first shopping center to open in the city, back in 2007, so it was a much sought after reference point.
For years being the only shopping mall in Foz do Iguaçu, Shopping JL Cataratas ended up losing its solitude, when the Shopping Catuaí Palladium opened in 2016.
The two shopping malls are very busy, and have really cool stores, some of which are exclusively in one or the other, just as the same store changes its structure a lot depending on which of the two it is located in.

Parking
Many people drive to shopping malls and sometimes the price of parking makes them change their mind.
For example, at Cataratas JL Shopping, if you park for 15 minutes, there is no charge, from 12pm to 14pm it is free, then the amount is added depending on how long you leave the car parked, for example 30min = R$3,00 reais. If you make a purchase over R$25 reais at Muffato in the mall, you get a discount when paying for parking!
At Catuaí Palladium Shopping Center:
- Up to 15 minutes: exempt
- 16 to 30 minutes: R$ 2,00
- After 30 min. fixed price of R$7,00 (there is no increase depending on the time you stay in the mall. In other words, you can enjoy the mall for a whole day, for the fixed price of R$7,00)

Bank and lottery
Sometimes we need to withdraw some money, or even pay a bill while we are at the mall, but not everyone has this possibility.
The difference here in Foz is that, at Shopping Catuaí Palladium there is a 24-hour cashier, where you can only withdraw cash and see your balance; in addition to having a Sicoob Bank Branch inside the shopping center, Casa de Câmbio (K2 Câmbio and Atlas Câmbio); Fair Price Pharmacy; Baby Changing Room and Family Space; Federal Police (passport issuance and foreign assistance); Kids Space Club (recreation and space to leave the children while shopping); nail polish; Sewing Atelier; Rental of vehicles; Car wash and ATMs.
Cataratas JL Shopping has a Bradesco branch with ATMs, as well as 24-hour tellers. And another difference is the lottery in it.
Location
The two shopping malls are a little far from each other.
Cataratas JL Shopping is right in the center of Foz do Iguaçu, close to the 34th Mechanized Infantry Battalion (Army), Urban Transport Terminal (TTU), the bus station, the Bosque Guarani Zoo, among others.
And the Catuaí Palladium is just 5 km away from the center of Foz do Iguaçu, making it closer to the Iguaçu Falls.

Market
A market inside the mall can be a great advantage, especially if you don't want to spend a lot when it comes to eating something.
Unfortunately, Shopping Catuaí Palladium does not have a market yet, but Cataratas JL Shopping has a very well-known chain in Paraná, which is Super Muffato.
