Omar Ibn Al-Khattab Mosque
One of the most present ethnicities in the city is undoubtedly Arab and, as the majority are Muslim, what we today call the Omar Ibn Al-Khattab Mosque was built.
The temple was built in mid-1983 and is named in honor of one of the most influential Muslim rulers.
As well as the architecture was inspired by the Jerusalem Al-Aqsa Mosque, another example of the religion.
Here in the city, the mosque is approximately 600 m² in size and has a 400 m² vault.
Its shape is octagonal and has viewpoints that overlook various parts of the city, making it a great tourist spot to discover a new culture.
Remembering that this tour is no longer free, as admission has been charged since the end of 2022.

A Itaipu Binacional Hydroelectric Plant is known worldwide for being the 2nda largest generator of renewable energy in the world
Belonging to Itaipu, you can take 4 tours there and 3 of them are among the cheapest in the city.
During the Panoramic Tour, visitors will get to know the plant as a whole, in general, just as the name suggests.
On the route you board the attraction's bus and pass by the main points, including the dam, the penstocks, the spillway, the man of steel and the central viewpoint.
In fact, one of the advantages of the tour is that you do it at your own time. In other words, if you want to spend a little more time at one of the stops, you can take the next bus that passes by.

Our second attraction belonging to Itaipu Binacional is the Biological Refuge, a true tour that connects you to the biodiversity of our fauna and flora.
This attraction is, in fact, a protection unit created to protect plants and animals that have been left without their natural habitat for any reason.
At the Refúgio you will be able to ride a trailer, go on a trail and learn about nature. There are more than 950 species of plants and more than 50 species of animals.
It's really charming and super worth it for nature lovers.

It takes place at night, at the central viewpoint of Itaipu, and is considered a light show that enchants everyone.
This is because after a soundtrack and a brief talk about Itaipu, the place, previously completely dark, starts to be illuminated in incredible harmony.

Landmark of the Three Borders
Our next stop is the Marco das Três Fronteiras, a monument built in the three cities that form the Triple Frontier.
The monument is the symbol of the meeting of Brazil, Paraguay and Argentina, as well as overlooking the meeting of the Iguaçu and Paraná rivers.
Marco works like a square, but with a large kids space for kids, viewpoint and shows that represent the history of Foz.
Furthermore, within the site there is the Cabeza de Vaca restaurant, named in honor of the adventurer who discovered the Iguaçu Falls.
And let me tell you two news? Marco now has a view of the new bridge that connects Brazil and Paraguay, in addition to the Ferris wheel next to the site.

Imagine finding a place of refuge, with a beautiful landscape right in the busy center of Foz do Iguaçu? Well, know that this place exists. It is Jardim da Oma, made for those looking for a place to rest.
In the Garden, there is a trail that goes around several flower beds with different types of plants. Not only plants, but the space also has benches, swings and space for meditation.
It really is a little paradise in the middle of the urban center.

Ice bar Argentina
Close to the Brazilian and Argentine customs, on the way to the Argentine Falls, there is the Ice Bar Iguazú, an ice bar that takes you to a freezing experience!
What's more, it's one of the first bars made entirely of ice in the region, with sculptures, walls and glasses made of ice.
Visitors have the right to stay inside the venue for 30 minutes, in return the ticket includes an open bar, gloves and thermal jackets to use during their visit.

Monday Adventure Park
This tour, finally, is another find on the border, 8 km from Customs between Brazil and Paraguay.
Parque Aventura Monday is located in the city of Presidente Franco, very close to Ciudad del Este, our border city.
It is a beautiful place, but little explored in the region, where Salto Monday, the Paraguay Falls, is located.
Still, the place has a broad infrastructure, with trails, viewpoints, bathrooms, adventure sports (prices separately), accommodation and restaurants.
Anyway, it's a great tip for going out with family or friends to explore the border region a little further.
