Different restaurants in Foz do Iguaçu

Getting out of the pasta and barbecue routine

In order not to lose the habit, we will talk again about different good restaurants in Foz do Iguaçu, but this time, outside of what we usually recommend here.

Because if you follow our blog, you know that we LOVE recommending good restaurants, with wonderful food that leaves our mouths watering.

In today's tips, most of them are in the Center, close to the Hotel Tarobá, with easy access if you are staying at the hotel. Or nearby and don't want to take transport to get to the restaurant.

These restaurants will make you fall in love and want to know each one of them when you come on your trip to Foz do Iguaçu!

Senac Restaurant-School

The Senac Foz do Iguaçu unit has an attached restaurant-school, where there is a different menu every day, which is posted weekly on the unit's website.

It is not a buffet restaurant, each day there is a set menu that includes a starter, two main course options and dessert. As well as rolls with some accompaniment to be served on the table upon your arrival.

When serving the main dish, the waiter brings your plate with a metal dome on top.

And only when the plate is already on the table does he remove the dome, thus revealing how the food is arranged, I think it's chic!

The restaurant's biggest difference is the affordable price compared to the quality of service and cuisine used.

All dishes are prepared and made by culinary students and other courses in the gastronomic area at Senac. It also has an a la carte option.

It is only open for lunch, from 11:30 am to 14 pm, Monday to Friday.

Located at Rua João Rouver, 160 – Centro.

Ricordi Cantina

This is one of the different restaurant options in Foz do Iguaçu for those who don't really care about refinement.

The restaurant operates in the structure of an old wooden house, very simple and friendly, with a grandma's house feel.

You have the option of a ready-made dish, you can change the type of meat depending on what they offer on the day. The prepared dish has rice, French fries, farofa, meat of your choice.

I recommend the onion mince – and wonderful beans that come in a clay bowl separate from the dish.

Don’t make the mistake of thinking “oh, just one dish and it’s already done?”

Thinking that you will be starving, if you go with someone who eats little, you can easily divide the plate in two as it is a lot of food.

What sets this place apart is that they have the traditional tubaína, which comes in a beer glass cask and which I'm sure you drank a lot of when you were a kid.

It's an excellent option for those who want to eat real homemade food and don't want to spend a lot.

Located at Rua Almirante Barroso, 1025 – Centro.

Casa do Esquina

Ah, what a cozy little place this is, there's no way to describe it. Every time I go I just feel like I'm on the porch of my house, and it still lives up to its name, it really is the structure of a house and is on the corner.

The restaurant has a different menu every day, one more delicious than the other.

You can check what will be available daily on the restaurant's Facebook page. Homemade food with lots of options and people who work with a lot of love to serve you as best as possible.

If you want to have breakfast this will also be a great option with their delicious espresso coffee.

The atmosphere is excellent, with low-key music so you can have a relaxed conversation with friends without having to speak loudly.

Located at Rua Benjamin Constant, 328 – Centro.

Green Smell

If you are looking for a food option free of meat or any animal origin. And still enjoy some Japanese cuisine, the vegetarian restaurant fale verde will be the best option for you.

The restaurant has buffet and marmitex options, but I recommend you stop for a moment and enjoy the place with the buffet, as I'm sure you'll want to do it again.

All the meat options that would be on the dishes are replaced by tofu, which leaves nothing to be desired, even for those who like meat.

Eastern culture, especially Chinese, is very prominent in the place's atmosphere and cuisine, from mini fried corn pastries, sushi to Yakissoba, you get lost in what you really want to eat and what's new and want to try.

Located at Rua Tarobá, 746 – Centro.

Open from Tuesday to Sunday, from 11:30 am to 15 pm.

Barracão Restaurant

You won't find more Brazilian cuisine than at the Barracão restaurant in Foz do Iguaçu, a food and place with a Southern feel, and if you're from here, it feels like home.

There is a lunchbox and buffet option, large tables that accommodate families and outdoor seating with a beautiful view full of flowers and benches to rest.

Located at Av. Anhembi, 1010 – Vila A.

Open from 11:30 am to 15:30 pm on weekdays.

The restaurant has its extension, Barracão Happy Hour, which serves the public in the evening, with live music, very good, with promotions on portions and beers weekly, just follow the place's Facebook page to check it out.

Located on the side of Restaurante Barracão, Avenida Silvio Americo Sasdelli, 1010 – Vila A.
