From the capital of Bahia, Salvador, the airline Gol, began operating direct flights to Foz do Iguaçu and vice versa, starting on Saturday (04) this month!

The first flight, named G39034, had 147 passengers on the Boeing 737 aircraft, which left Foz at 21:52 pm on Saturday (04/01) taking off and traveling to Salvador, at Deputado Luis Eduardo Magalhães International Airport, where it landed at 1 am .
In the early hours of the following day (05/01), the flight Foz do Iguaçu, named G39035, departed at 1:49 am from Salvador airport, where it arrived in the tourist city of Foz do Iguaçu at 5:05 am with 153 passengers, in the same Boeing 737.
Why this new route?
This flight is part of the new package extra flights made by Gol, which recently announced the temporary novelty.
What is interesting is that the airline will extend this route in operation, until April 12th this year, thus confirming that Gol is confident that there will be a high demand for passengers on these routes.
Another thing states this, according to the words of the Secretary of Tourism, Industry, Commerce and Strategic Projects, Gilmar Piolla:
“Bahians are passionate about Foz do Iguaçu and Iguaçu residents, as well as Argentines and Paraguayans here in the trinational region, take advantage of the flight to enjoy holidays in Bahia. We believe that this flight has the potential to remain regular after the high season”

What is the flight schedule like?
Departures from Foz do Iguaçu International Airport (IGU) will take place on Saturdays after 21:55 pm, with the arrival time calculated for 1:05 am in the capital of Bahia, Salvador.
Departures from Dep. Luis Eduardo Magalhães airport will take place on Sundays after 02:05 am, with landing scheduled for 05:25 am in Foz do Iguaçu.
As done on the first flight, the Boeing 737 will fly this route, with capacity for 189 passengers, in a single class.
Regarding prices, Gol informed that air tickets for these flights will start at R$609,00, with taxes already included. Available for sale on the Gol website and app, in addition to VoeGOL stores and travel agencies.
