01 – Rainwater collection for use in flushing toilets
The Tarobá Hotel has a rainwater collection system in tower 2. When tower 2 was built, around three years ago, the intention was to implement this system. All rainwater is collected, treated and directed exclusively to toilets.
02 – Use of garbage bags and other biodegradable products in the laundry
Weekly, the products used in the Tarobá Hotel laundry, such as garbage bags and other products, are checked together with suppliers to see if they are all biodegradable, thus ensuring the lowest possible impact on the environment.
03 – Energy savers in all hotel rooms
The energy saver works as a generator, through the guest's card. When the guest activates the card by placing it in the socket – where the energy saver is – the energy in the room is released, so when they leave and remove the card, the energy is cut off to avoid unnecessary consumption.
04 – Acquisition of Selo A Procel equipment
For those who don't know exactly what it is, we explain. The Procel Seal is a way of directing consumers when making purchases, indicating which products have the best levels of energy efficiency within each category, thus resulting in savings on their electricity bills.
At Tarobá Hotel, whenever new equipment is purchased, the fact that it has the A Seal is analyzed, even if the return on investment is not so viable, as the objective is to carry out such action on a daily basis.
05 – Digitization of all documents, avoiding the use of paper in the company as much as possible
Think about the savings you make. Every day around 20 to 40 guests arrive at the hotel. Normally, hotels usually print reservation confirmations to check data and everything else. The Tarobá Hotel also has heating via solar panels, being the first hotel in the state of Paraná to use photovoltaic panels (the part responsible for capturing the sun's rays in solar energy systems).
Furthermore, the hotel seeks to make the most of solar energy in all possible environments. Also, use dispensers in the bathrooms for liquid soap and shampoo.
08 – Use of LED lamps to save electricity
The Tarobá Hotel uses LED lamps with excellent origin in all its facilities, ensuring less burning and avoiding waste. Furthermore, all light bulbs and batteries are sent to the correct locations to handle their disposal, as well as computer waste and other electronic waste.
