How are the 7 Wonders of Nature chosen?

Many people have heard of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World, but do you really know how these nominations came about?

In 2007, New7Wonders of Nature was created, with the aim of listing the greatest natural beauties that the world preserves! The leader of this project was Swiss-Canadian, Bernard Weber, who together with the New7Wonders Foundation was able to classify which parts of the planet would make the list!

Who voted for the winners of the 7 Wonders of Nature?

Following the pattern of New7Wonders of the World (Seven Wonders of the World), in which more than 100 million people voted!

The vote to decide the 7 wonders of nature was carried out by more than 440 participants, all of whom represented more than 220 different nationalities, in which all competing countries were qualified.

On July 7, 2007, following recommendations from the Panel of Experts, led by the director general of UNESCO, Federico Mayor, 77 places were listed for competition!

Later, on the 21st of the same month, the 28 official finalists were released! But only on the day November 11th, 2011 voting was closed, finally giving the names of the places that won the new title!
