2- Payment in local currency and tour times

Payment

In Puerto Iguazú, only Argentine pesos are accepted, so it is necessary to convert your money at an exchange area.

You can make the transaction using a credit card (VISA OR MASTERCARD) at the entrance of the tour.

However, to do this the card must be international enabled and you will need to pay IOF.

One tip is to exchange the real for pesos before you go on the tour, so you can pay less tax on the conversion!

Timetable

In general, the park opens at exactly 8 am local time (De Misiones – Puerto Iguazú).

Entry is allowed until 16:30 pm and the tour ends for visitors at 18 pm!

So, if you want to make the most of it, one suggestion is: go to the park early and explore all the routes!

We will detail more about this in the next topics!

3- The Argentine Falls: about the Waterfalls

The Argentine waterfalls are made up of 275 waterfalls and this means two thirds of what the entire waterfalls (BR and AR) have.

While the Brazilian side has a more panoramic view and faces the waterfalls, at Cataratas Argentinas you can see the falls from above.

There you can even stand under them! In addition to exploring other waterfalls hidden in the jungle!

In fact, it is worth mentioning that the route is very close to nature, making the complete experience more intimate with the forest and waterfalls.

Really connecting the traveler to the tour, something you also achieve on the Brazilian side.

In addition, on both tours you will have a huge chance of getting wet, so be prepared for a refreshing adventure!

4- About the Devil's Throat

At the falls on the Argentine side, the Devil's Throat is the highlight of the tour!

From there it is possible to see our Brazilian side, in addition to the incredible natural angle of the falls, since the Gorge is where most of the water falls.

Its abyss reaches 82 meters in height, is around 150 m wide and around 700 m long, in a “U” shape.
