The renovation of the Itaipu Binacional Central Viewpoint, or also known as the Itaipu Hydroelectric Plant, located in Foz do Iguaçu, was presented this Friday (15).
The renovation provided for the expansion of the main observation site of the Itaipu dam, where it is possible to have a complete view of the entire structure.
With the renovation, a new deck was created and a souvenir shop, photographic souvenirs, a bistro and a rest area were added. The number of visitors in 2015 was 521.839 people, 5,30% more than in 2014.
Currently, Itaipu Binacional has 8 tours, and of these, 4 pass through the Mirante Central.
