On December 30th, at exactly 9:22 am, the Iguacu National Park announced the record of 2 million visits to the attraction! Thus, breaking a great record for the Iguaçu Falls, which broke this mark for the first time in its history!
The record also meant, in terms of data, a 7% increase in searches from foreign and Brazilian tourists, compared to 2018!
The lucky one who was the two millionth visitor this year, was a resident of Espírito Santo, Marlucia Pimentel who came to Terra das Cataratas with her husband and two friends.
Winning from the Iguaçu National Park, Marlucia Pimentel, her husband Rubens Pimentel and friends Maria Aparecida and Fernando Rios, won a boat trip, a helicopter flight and lunch at the Porto Canoas restaurant, all held in the Cataratas region.
