On 30/01 we will do 45 years serving Foz do Iguaçu with great affection and its many travelers, always prioritizing a good welcome!
In this post, we're going to talk a little about our history, what we've built so far and all the gratitude that our guests show us!

45 years of dedication and hospitality in Foz
Our story began in 1978 when Emília Mendes and Francisco Sebastiany opened the Tarobá hotel, at the time with 19 apartments.
The hotel came to add to the city's hotel supply, at a time when it was not yet sufficient to meet the high demand that arose with the construction of Itaipu and Ponte da Amizade.
After this explosion of people who started to circulate in the city, unfortunately in 2001, there was a crisis in tourism.
But this did not affect the hotel, which found ways to get through this difficult phase that seriously affected tourist activity in the region.
Soon after, in 2003, Mauro Sebastiany, son of Emília Mendes and now a partner in the hotel with his brother, took over management.
As a result, they brought major changes to the infrastructure and positioning of the hotel in the Iguaçu hotel market.
During that time, they even won the title of 1st 3-star hotel in Brazil.

More amenities for our guests
If before, the hotel already had a different structure, with all the renovations it underwent, today it has a modern infrastructure and cozy.
Our structure has increased to 176 accommodations, all well equipped, with several conveniences for guests, such as: gym, ATM, games room.
Not only the structure, but it also offers a buffet of Breakfast that goes beyond 3 star category and a privileged view of the center of Foz.
And of course, we couldn't stop talking about the newest achievement, which is the pool area, which was completely renovated and added 1 more children's pool and a whirlpool.🤩
Tarobá has grown!!
Today we are part of Tarobá Group which operates in the area of inbound tourism, retail and services in the region.
While the most recent member of the Group is Tarobá Express, which was created with the aim of being an economical, practical and modern hotel.
And together with the group, the Tarobá brand continues to work with love and empathy, to provide an extraordinary hosting experience!
