The Esquadrilha de Fumaça makes a beautiful performance in the sky in Foz do Iguaçu, paying tribute to the Itaipu Binacional Power Plant.
Where did they go?
The aircraft flew over the Iguaçu Falls, Ponte da Amizade and Itaipu power plant, this occurred on Wednesday (12) and Thursday (13) of May.
During the visit to Foz do Iguaçu, the pilots did not perform aerobatic displays, which are typical of the Squadron, so as not to generate crowds, according to the Major.
However, the team carried out formation flyover training, with loops and inversions.
Why at the Itaipu Plant?
The aim was to celebrate the 47th anniversary of the Itaipu Binacional Power Plant celebrates on 17/05.
The squadron wrote with the smoke emitted by the planes the phrase: “Itaipu 47 years”, it was beautiful to see!😍
Those who were strolling through the city had the chance to witness the show.
According to the Plant, the elite pilots of the Brazilian Air Force – FAB, were looking for a location outside the base, which is in Pirassununga (SP).
Precisely to train, carry out instrument flight tests and also photograph the new generation of the A-29 Supertucano in different locations.

The Fumaça Squadron also celebrated its anniversary, turning 69 on Friday (14).
Not only the Itaipu power plant and the Esquadrilha da Fumaça were celebrating their anniversary, but Paraguay celebrated 210 years of Independence, on the 14th (Friday) too.
The opportunity came with an invitation from the Itaipu Binacional Plant, which asked Esquadrilha da Fumaça to celebrate the two anniversaries by crossing the border sky!
The authorities of Brazil, Paraguay and Argentina granted special authorization for the flight.
Smoke Squadron
Currently, the Air Demonstration Squadron is made up of 14 pilots and a group of mechanics.
In Foz do Iguaçu, the aviators flew the new generation of the A-29 Supertucano, and the team then had 35 people.
Professionals demonstrate acrobatics in the sky around the world, with the aim of promoting the image of the Brazilian Air Force.
According to the EDA, drivers work for the team for five years.
Acrobatics are trained once a week, training is continuous.

It was opened in 1984, and aims to preserve the fauna and flora of our world, where they care for rescued animals, victims of abuse, animal trafficking, among other cruel things that happen.
There you will find several old animals, this is because they have become unaccustomed and will no longer live in their natural habitat, so they remain in the park for survival.
They also take care of the preservation of species that are endangered, for reproduction, speaking of which, the baby margay cat was born there, a species threatened with extinction.

The Ecomuseum is interactive and has exhibitions telling more about the history of Itaipu power plant, with scenes faithful to the past.

Visitors can enjoy water and energy themed spaces, as well as a replica of an active turbine shaft.
The environment has a panel created in honor of the thousands of workers who were part of the construction project of the Itaipu power plant.
The community and the trinational region are highlighted at the Ecomuseum in one of the largest models in the country!
